Yes, this is a blog about SOUTHWEST Washington. But summer is for islands and ferries and crabbing and kayaking and, need we say more? So this blog post travels for a few days out of ZEST’s Southwest Washington to another beloved part of the Evergreen State — the San Juan Islands. This photo journal focuses on three islands – Shaw, San Juan and Orcas. Enjoy the trip!

What a lovely set of photos! You are a wonderful photographer. I especially love the one with the canoe on the dock in that love light.
Thanks, Donna! The summer light is magical in the San Juans!
Wonderful pix! Makes me want to go back up to Madeline Island, a little closer to home…only 800 miles. I’ll try to post pictures soon.
